Editorial Policy

This policy describes how guides on PDFroo are written and maintained. It applies to every page under /blog.

One task per guide

Each guide answers one practical question about working with a PDF or image file. If two guides would answer the same question, we merge them and redirect the old address, rather than publishing near-copies.

Accuracy comes from the tool, not from assumptions

  • Steps, button names and settings must match the current PDFroo interface.
  • Limits must come from testing or from the tool’s code, for example “bookmarks are not kept when pages are deleted”.
  • We do not describe features a tool does not have. If a common task is not supported (for example OCR), the guide says so.
  • Privacy statements must match what the code does. We describe what the tools do (process files in your browser without uploading them to PDFroo) and avoid absolute promises we cannot verify, such as how your own device or browser extensions handle files.

Testing

When a guide reports a result (page counts, file sizes, what was kept or lost), it comes from a test we ran with a sample file, following our tool testing methodology. The guide shows the test date, browser and device. Sample files contain fictional content only.

Dates

  • Published is the date a guide first went live.
  • Updated changes only when the content is meaningfully revised (new steps, corrected facts, new test results), not for typo fixes or design changes.
  • Last tested is the date we last ran the guide’s steps against the live tool.

What we will not publish

  • Fake reviews, ratings, testimonials, user numbers or performance claims.
  • Pages written mainly for search engines, such as lists of keyword variations.
  • Advice that depends on official rules (application portals, photo requirements) without telling you to check the official source.

Authorship and responsibility

Guides are published by the PDFroo Team byline, which means the site operator, Abdul Aziz Bin Harun, who is responsible for them. Drafting may involve AI writing assistants; the operator remains responsible for every published statement.
